Frances H. Giracca Gennari

Frances H. Giracca Gennari, 94, of 7 Wyantenuck St., died Monday in North Fulton Hospital, Roswell, Ga. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on Feb. 4, 1913, daughter of John and Gretchen Stemmer Harvey, she attended public schools and was a graduate of Our Lady of the Angels Business School in New Rochelle. She moved to Great Barrington when she and Charles Giracca were married in 1939. She was a medical secretary for Dr. Richard F. Clarke from 1978 until her retirement in 1987. Previously she worked for Dr. Arthur L. Cassel from 1964 until his retirement in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. She was a member of the former Holy Family League of Charity, Mount Everett Circle Daughters of Isabella, a former member of St. Patrick's Parish Council and Richmond/West Stockbridge Council on Aging. She enjoyed golf and counted cross-stitch. She was a member of many bowling leagues, including the Senior Bowling League. She achieved an award for an all-spare game. She and Charles Ciracca were married on May 6, 1939; he died on Oct. 12, 1987. She and Jervis Gennari were married on Aug. 24, 1991; he died Aug. 26, 1995. Mrs. Gennari leaves a son, James C. Giracca of Plymouth; a daughter, Louise Giracca Bullwinkel of Roswell, Ga.; a sister, Evelyn "Toddy" Boinay of La Venia, Texas; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Frances Harvey Giracca Gennari, who died Monday, May 7, 2007, will be held on Tuesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, the Rev. William Murphy, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Expressions of sympathy in Frances' memory may be made to the St. Peter's Restoration Fund, in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Susan Giracca of Plymouth; a son-in-law, Edward Bullwinkel of Roswell, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Andrea Adams, Brian Giracca and Alicia DiPadua. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Jack Harvey. At age 90, while on vacation in Aruba, she went parasailing and enjoyed talking about the experience.
