Dorothy H. Majewski

Dorothy H. Majewski, 94, of 620 Laurel St. in Lee, died Wednesday at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Lee. Born in Housatonic on May 5, 1913, daughter of Josef and Rosalie Murah Trezniewski, she attended local schools and lived in Housatonic. She worked for a number of years at the Marion Fathers in Stockbridge and also assisted her husband in a watchmaker shop located in their home on Main Street in Housatonic. She was a parishioner of All Saints Church. She was known for her enjoyment of cooking, baking and gardening. Her husband, Benjamin J. Majewski, whom she married Sept. 5, 1932, died in 1985. They retired to Monroe, N.C. in 1980. Upon the death of her husband, she made her home at Hyde Place in Lee before moving to Laurel Lake Center in 2000. She leaves two sons, Bernard Majewski of Lenox Dale and Richard Majewski of Monroe, N.C.; a brother, Stanley Trezniewski of Napa, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Dorothy Trezniewski Majewski, who died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery in Housatonic. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to may make donations to Elder Services of Berkshire County, in care of KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. She also leaves her daughters-in-law Agnes and Pamela. She enjoyed her grandchildren.
