John F. Shaw

John F. Shaw, 60, of 276 East St., died yesterday at home. Born in Pittsfield on April 29, 1947, son of John and Priscilla White Shaw, he moved to Albany, N.Y., at an early age and was a 1967 graduate of the former Philip Schuyler High School. He served with the Army from 1968 to 1984 and was discharged with the rank of sergeant first class. While in the service, he attended Park College, where he received a bachelor's in business administration and a minor in human resources. Mr. Shaw worked for the U.S.government in various capacities in Europe until 1990. He returned to the United States in 1991 and made his home in Lee. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He and his wife, the former Maria Cristina Cristallo, were married Sept. 18, 1969. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John F. Shaw of New York City and Patrick A. Shaw of Pittsfield; two brothers, Thomas Morello and Donald Morello, both of Albany; two sisters, Rhondine Moore of Lee and Bonnie Jean Berkery of Cohoes, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for John F. Shaw, who died Friday, May 25, 2007, will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. His wish was that he be cremated after the funeral Mass. Visiting hours at KELLY FUNERAL HOME will be Tuesday, May 29, from 4 to 7 p.m.
