Elvera Rose Uberti

Elvera Rose Uberti, 90, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on Sept. 25, 1916, daughter of Ralph and Rose Critelli Uberti, she was a 1935 graduate of Drury High School. Miss Uberti was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1979 as accounts receivable manager. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and of its Guild, a member of the North Adams Historical Society and the Sprague Quarter Century and Gold Card clubs. She enjoyed reading, making crafts and traveling to the theater in New York City. Mrs. Uberti leaves two nephews, Charles N. Cahoon of Clarksburg and James Uberti of Bradenton, Fla.; and a niece, Carol Uberti of Bradenton. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Elvera Rose "Vera" Uberti, who died Friday, May 25, 2007, will be held at the convenience of the family at St. John's Episcopal Church, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery, both in North Adams. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice of North Berkshire or to St. John's Episcopal Church, through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. She leaves her nephew's wives, Bonnie Cahoon of Clarksburg and Terri Uberti of Bradenton, Fla.; three great-nieces, Melissa Cahoon Chevalier, Deborah Cahoon Simons and Megan Uberti; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Lee Uberti of Bradenton. She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Uberti, and her sister, Clara Cahoon.
