Pearl A. Spigarolo

Pearl A. Spigarolo, 83, of 123 Lumbert Crossroad, Southfield, died yesterday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Aug. 3, 1923, daughter of Hampton and Bertha Warner Wilson, she was a 1941 graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport, Conn. She was cafeteria supervisor for the Shelton, Conn., public school system and a 4-H Club leader. She moved to the Berkshires in 1970, when she and her late husband, Victor, owned and operated Southfield General Store for 10 years, before retiring in 1980. Her husband, Victor Spigarolo, died April 10, 2000. She leaves two sons, Victor Spigarolo Jr., of Trumbull, Conn., and William Spigarolo of Bridgeport, Conn.; two daughters, Elizabeth Mugford of Milford, Conn., and Debbie O'Brien of Southfield; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Service for Pearl A. Spigarolo, who died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the United Church of New Marlborough with the Rev. Brian Care. There are no calling hours. Family requests in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Pearl's memory may be made to the New Marlborough Volunteer First Responders in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, who is in charge of arrangements.
