Jerod John Beckwith, 26, of 28 Valley St. died Thursday following a motorcycle accident on East Road. Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 20, 1980, son of John J. and Linda Corbiere Beckwith, he attended schools in Pittsfield, Adams, North Carolina and Chicopee. At the time of his death, Mr. Beckwith was employed by Della Trucking Co. as a diesel mechanic. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. Besides his mother, of Pittsfield, and his father, of Hillsborough, N.C., he leaves a daughter, MacKenzie Beckwith of Cheshire; two brothers, Joshua Beckwith of Pittsfield and Dustin Beckwith of Hillsborough; two sisters, Lisa Beckwith of Washington, D.C., and Jessica Miller of Hinsdale; a brother, Kurt Miller of Pittsfield; three stepbrothers, David J. Hefty and Patrick J. Hefty, both of Westfield, and Gregory E. Hefty of Pittsfield; a stepsister, Amanda M. Hefty of Westfield; his stepmother, Pearlene A. Beckwith of Hillsborough; his maternal grandmother, Dolores Corbiere of Adams; his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Luke and Ellen Beckwith of Lee; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, JoAnne and Donald Barcomb of Adams; and his fiancÃ©e, Lindsey Dellaghelfa of Cheshire. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Jerod J. Beckwith, who died Thursday, June 7, 2007, will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Liberty St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangments. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerod may be made for his daughter, MacKenzie, through the funeral home.
