Lorna Icard

Lorna Icard, 80, of Gastonia, N.C., formerly of Lanesborough, died Tuesday at Century Healthcare of Gastonia. Born in Adams, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Laura Jardine Paradise. Mrs. Icard was a homemaker. She was a member of Myers Memorial United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Brantley A. Icard, were married 59 years. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Daniel Icard of Landrum, S.C.; a daughter, Marcia Campbell of Gastonia, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Visitation for Lorna Paradise Icard, who died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, will be Friday, June 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors in Gastonia, N.C. A memorial service conducted by the Revs. Tom Latimer and Claude Campbell will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Little Red Schoolhouse, Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. Condolences may be sent online at www.mcleanfuneral.com and arrangements sent to the funeral home. Survivors also include a daughter-in-law, Carol Beth Icard of Landrum, S.C.; a son-in-law, Charles Cambell of Gastonia; grandchildren, Stacey Lynn Matsuda, Bethan Lee Boutin, Laura Joy Campbell and Jeffrey Charles Campbell; and great-grandchildren Mason and Olivia Matsuda, and Mackenzie and Marcia Boutin. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Beckwith.
