Dennis D. LaBelle Sr.

Dennis D. LaBelle Sr., 52, of 229 Mohawk Trail, died Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Adams on July 13, 1954, son of the late Arthur W. and Geraldine Windrow LaBelle, he was a 1972 graduate of Adams High School and attended Charles H. McCann Technical School. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the 1st Infantry Battalion. Mr. LaBelle was employed as an omnicraftsman for several construction companies in the Berkshire area. He was a member of Notre Dame Church in Adams. He and his wife, the former Hope L. Ferris, celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary April 23. They were married in Adams. Besides his wife and mother, of Adams, he leaves four sons, Dennis D. LaBelle Jr., John LaBelle, Clarence LaBelle and Jeremy LaBelle, all of North Adams; two daughters, Ashley LaBelle and Brandy LaBelle, both of North Adams; three brothers, Stephen LaBelle and Glenn LaBelle, both of Becket, and Craig LaBelle of North Adams; three sisters, his twin, Denise LaBelle, of North Adams, and Robbyn LaBelle of Durham, N.C., and Larryn Raimer of Cheshire; and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Roman Catholic prayer service in celebration of the life of Dennis D. LaBelle Sr., who died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, will be offered Saturday at noon at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2-8 Liberty St., Adams, by the Rev. Deacon Robert Moulton of the Catholic Parish of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. LaBelle also is survived by two grandchildren, Denise N. and Candence Veazie.
