David Freeman Goddard

David Freeman Goddard, 53, of 21 Willow St., died Wednesday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in North Adams on Aug. 22, 1953, son of the late Freeman and Alice Record Goddard, he attended schools in North Adams, including Charles H. McCann Technical High School. He graduated from the Pioneer Valley Academy in New Braintree in 1971. Mr. Goddard was last employed as a self-employed carpenter. Previously, he had been a member of the carpenter's union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool. He leaves a son, Shane David Goddard of Tempe, Ariz.; his former wife, Christine Gregory of Cheshire; and three sisters, Joan Frost of Staunton, Va., Nancy Jagiello of Cheshire and Carol Kleiner of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service to celebrate the life of David Freeman Goddard, who died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, will be held July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Berkshire Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lanesborough. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS at 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors also include one granddaughter, Bianca Belleau, and several nieces and nephews.
