Sharon Ann Driscoll

Sharon Ann Driscoll, 53, of 38 Christian Hill Road died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Great Barrington on July 20, 1953, daughter of Edwin G. Winters Sr. and Mary Marusarz Winters, she was a 1971 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School. For the past nine years, Mrs. Driscoll had been a mailroom supervisor at American Institute for Economics. She also worked as a lab technician at the Snap Shop for seven years and at the former Jenifer House in the cutting room. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, photography and crafts. She and her husband, James R. Driscoll, were married March 21, 1993. Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, Robert Winters of Simsbury, Conn., and her stepmother, Grace Martin Rockefeller Winters, of Great Barrington. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Sharon Ann Driscoll will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at All Saints' Church in Housatonic by the Rev. William Murphy, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy in Sharon's memory be made to Berkshire Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Joyce, of Simsbury, Conn;uncle and aunt, Junior and Sylvia Winters, uncle, John Passini, and aunts, Marcie Marusarz and Pat Piggot, all of Pittsfield; nieces, Nikki, Nora and Kayleigh Fantauzzi; and cousins, Terry Davis and Diane Passini. She was a very devoted daughter who took care of her mother. She especially loved the ocean in York, Maine, and her dogs, Jessie and Watson.
