Mary F. Duma

Mary F. Duma, 89, formerly of School Street, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Lee on Oct. 7, 1917, daughter of Fiore and Anna Borelli Troiano, she attended local schools. Mrs. Duma was employed by the former Berkshire Hills Nursing Home for many years. During World War II, she was employed by General Electric Co. in the ordnance department. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Her husband, John P. Duma, whom she married Nov. 26, 1934, died Dec. 16, 1968. She leaves two sisters, Olga Scolforo of Pittsfield and Perina Carlino of Pittsfield; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Her son, Paul J. Duma, died in 1970. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mary Duma, who died Saturday, July 14, 2007, also leaves her grandchildren, Paul J. and Michael S. Duma, Mary D. Doyle and Deborah J. Wood. She was predeceased by her brother, Umberto Troiano, in 1920, and her sisters, Virginia A. Ditore, in 1979, Aldina M. Tisserand, in 1966, and Edith Sadlowski, in 2001. The funeral for Mary Duma will be Tuesday morning at 9:15 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
