Ann M. Bailey

Ann M. Bailey, 74, of 1040 Fairview St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Pittsfield on March 8, 1933, daughter of Richard and Mae Decker Briggs, she was educated in local schools, was a 1950 graduate of Lee High School and a 1951 graduate of Berkshire Business College. Mrs. Bailey was employed as a teachers' aide at Lee Elementary School from 1972 to 1994. Before that, she worked as a secretary at Hurlbut Paper Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and of St. Mary's Church. Her husband, James J. Bailey, whom she married Sept. 1, 1956, died May 21. Mrs. Bailey leaves two sons, James V. Bailey of Bourn and Thomas C. Bailey of Pittsfield; two daughters, Kathleen A. Ingegni of Lee and Jeanne M. Consolati of Dalton; three brothers, Richard E. and Edward Buddy Briggs, both of Lee, and John A. "Moey" Briggs of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Terri Clark of Tyringham; and nine grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ann Bailey, who died Monday, July 23, 2007, will be held Friday morning at 9:15 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to the Lee Volunteer Ambulance Association in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Ann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Perrin, Krista, Sara, Travis, Antonio, Kendall, Samantha, Victoria and Gina. She also leaves her sons-in-law, Gino and Dan; and her daughters-in-law, Debbie and Linda.
