Jean Theresa Spagnuolo

Jean Theresa Spagnuolo, 76, a Pittsfield native, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Formerly of 381 Springside Ave., she had resided at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility since 1995. Born Jan. 31, 1931, daughter of Anthony and Sophie Olendrowicz Sellnick, she attended Pittsfield schools. Mrs. Spagnuolo, who was primarily a homemaker, was a former member and past secretary of the VFW Post 448 Ladies' Auxiliary. Her husband, Joseph S. Spagnuolo, whom she married Jan. 10, 1955, died Feb. 22, 1993. She leaves three daughters, Judith Ann Gallant and Denise Jean Finn, both of Tomah, Wisc., and Toni Jean Hayes of East Greenbush, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Joanne Pinto of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; a sister, Faye Steiner of Cuero, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Jean Theresa Spagnuolo, who died Aug. 15, 2007, will take place at 7 p.m. Friday at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. Mrs. Spagnuolo's nephew, the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor of St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington, will officiate. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, 101A First Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451 or in care of the funeral home. She was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Navin.
