Kelly Jean Garrison

Kelly Jean Garrison, 41, of 122 Versailles Ave., died Sunday at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Born in North Adams on July 16, 1966, daughter of Margaret Wilber Harwood and the late Moses E. Harwood, she attended schools in Williamstown, graduating in 1984 from Mount Greylock Regional High School. She also attended Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vt. Mrs. Garrison was employed at Tunnel City Coffee at the time of her death. Before that, she worked at Hobson's Choice restaurant. She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick & Raphael Parish in Williamstown and a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary Post 152 there. She was a New York Yankees fan who loved animals, especially her dogs. Besides her mother, of Williamstown, she leaves her paternal grandparents, Norman and Clista Roberts of Williamstown; three daughters, Kirstin Rickert of Williamstown and Erica and Michele Rickert, both of North Adams; a son, Devin Garrison of North Adams; three sisters, Ashley Harwood of Texas and Colleen and Jennifer Harwood, both of Cheshire. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Kelly Jean Harwood Garrison, who died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church in Williamstown by the Rev. Mark Burke, SJ. Private burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Westlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. She leaves a granddaughter, Skylie Benoit, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A sister, Penny Roberts, died in infancy. Memorial donations are suggested for the Kelly Garrison Children's Education Fund, care of the funeral home.
