Mary Nellie Battory, 91, of 53 North Summer St., died on Tuesday at North Adams Commons. Born in Adams on March 7, 1916, daughter of John and Aniela Ptak Zepka, she attended schools in Adams. Mrs. Battory was employed as a service manager for the former Renfrew Sunoco Station for many years; and for her family's business, J. Zepka & Sons Florist and Greenhouses. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing bingo. Her husband, Lewis John Battory, whom she married on Aug. 5, 1939, died on May 19, 1990. She leaves a daughter, Mary Lou Kirchmeyer; two brothers, Matthew Zepka and Albert Zepka; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary Nellie Battory, who died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. in Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Roman Catholic Parishes of Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and John Zepka; and by a sister, Helen Ryczek.
