Henry E. Fresia

Henry E. Fresia, 86, of 64 Kittredge Road died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on April 22, 1921, son of Frank and Irma Quarrello Fresia, he was a 1940 graduate of Pittsfield High School. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Air Corps. Mr. Fresia was employed in the ordnance department of General Electric Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of All Souls' Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs and of Charles A. Persip American Legion Post 68. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. He leaves a daughter, Janice I. Disco of Bennington, Vt., and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Henry E. Fresia, who died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at All Souls' Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor. Burial will take place in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County in care of the funeral home. The loving grandfather of Michael, Bryan and Daniel Disco, he also leaves a son-in-law, Lawrence Disco, and his former wife, Pierina Orsi Fresia. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Hanlon. Henry loved being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
