Walter Charles Wojtusiak, 86, of 6 Sparrow St. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Adams on April 23, 1921, son of Matthew and Veronica Strzepek Wojtusiak, he attended local schools. A carpenter, Mr. Wojtusiak was employed for many years by the Carpenters' and Tradesmen's Union in Pittsfield. Earlier, he worked as a farmer and was employed by the Adams Department of Public Works. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams and enjoyed fishing and mechanical work. His wife, the former Helen B. Strzepek, whom he married May 8, 1948, at St. Stanislaus' Church, died July 4, 1989. Mr. Wojtusiak leaves two daughters, Joyce Grabicki of Adams and Deborah Kogut of Savoy; and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Walter Charles Wojtusiak, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, will be tomorrow at 9 a.m. from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or to Berkshire Humane Society, in care of the funeral home. Mr. Wojtusiak especially enjoyed his grandchildren, Nicole Brown and her husband, Eric, and Jaclyn Grabicki-Lee and her husband, Michael, all of Adams, and Derek and Devin Kogut, both of Savoy. He also leaves two sons-in-law, Richard Grabicki and Michael Kogut, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Wojtusiak, and by four sisters, Katherine Baran, Lena Wiencek, Julia Livsey, and Adella Krypel.
