Dorothy A. Maurus, 88, of 11 Stonefield Trail, South Windsor, Conn., died Friday at home. She lived in Housatonic for more than 52 years before moving to South Windsor seven years ago. Born in Rouses Point, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 1918, she was the daughter of William and Anna Herrmann Perrey. Mrs. Maurus was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Housatonic for 15 years. She and her husband, Robert C. Maurus, were married 68 years. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Robert Maurus of Decatur, Ga., Kenneth Maurus of Menifee, Calif., and Donald Maurus of South Windsor; a daughter, Lauri Maurus Dupuis of Ontario, Canada; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Dorothy A. Maurus, who died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, will be private at the request of her family.
