Theresa Marie Beauchamp

Theresa Marie Beauchamp, 79, of 10 Notch Road, a former longtime resident of 33 Brooklyn St., died Friday at Kindred Hospital in Springfield. Born in North Adams on July 20, 1928, daughter of Homer and Aldora Contois Babeu, she attended the former Notre Dame School. Mrs. Beauchamp was employed by North Adams Regional Hospital in the housekeeping department, retiring in 1993. Before that, she worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mill, the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. and the former Sprague Electric Co. She also was a housekeeper for several area families. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and enjoyed playing bingo. Her husband, Valmore Beauchamp, whom she married July 3, 1948, at Notre Dame Church, died May 6, 1981. She leaves three daughters, Valerie Cardinal Richard of North Adams, Joyce Bush of Gales Ferry, Conn., and Marie Bliss, with whom she resided; a son, David Beauchamp of North Adams; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private service for Theresa Marie Beauchamp, who died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, will be held at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home. She also leaves nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Williams.
