Florence Lefebvre

Florence Lefebvre, 80, of 254 State Road died Wednesday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Aug. 14, 1927, daughter of Thomas and Edna Morin Robert, she attended the former Notre Dame Elementary School. She moved to North Adams in 1970. Mrs. Lefebvre and her mother owned and operated a tailor shop at 36 Randall St. for many years. She also worked as a tailor for the former Roberts Co. in North Adams and for the former House of Walsh in Williamstown. She and her husband, the late Gilbert A. Lefebvre, owned and operated the Old Fort antiques shop for many years, buying and selling antiques. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She and her husband were married Nov. 23, 1945. He died Jan. 22, 2003. Mrs. Lefebvre leaves two sons, Robert E. Lefebvre of Readsboro, Vt., and Thomas G. Lefebvre of Tavaris, Fla.; a daughter, Donna Marie Lefebvre of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Florence Lefebvre, who died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, will be celebrated Saturday at noon at Notre Dame Church in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at Trottier-Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations in her memory may be made to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. Mrs. Lefebvre also leaves two daughters-in-law, Earlene (Robert) and Barbara (Thomas); a son-in-law, Paul Drozdowski; and several loving nieces and nephews. A brother, Wallace Robert, is deceased. As a resident of Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown, Mrs. Lefebvre made many new friends.
