Christine Vera Mullette

Christine Vera Mullette, 92, of Tilda Hill Road died Saturday at North Adams Commons. Born in the town of Florida on Jan. 25, 1915, daughter of Olaf S. and Gerda Anderson Oleson, she attended local schools. Mrs. Mullette was a homemaker. At one time, she was employed by the city of North Adams, transporting special-needs children to school. She retired in 1987. She was a member of Florida Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies' Aid Society. For many years, she had been a member of Community Bible Church of Williamstown, where she served as a deaconess. She and her husband, Eugene Austin Mullette, were married June 11, 1931, at Florida Baptist Church. He died Feb. 12, 1990. She leaves a son, the Rev. Irving E. Mullette of Florida, who is pastor of Rowe Community Church and chaplain of the Franklin County House of Corrections in Greenfield; three daughters, Gerda Rebecca Bushika of Adams, Vera Eugenia Kelton of the town of Florida and Diane Rachel Mitchell of Cedarville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral to celebrate the life of Christine Vera Mullette, who died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Community Bible Church of Williamstown. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery in the town of Florida. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to Williamstown Community Bible Church, in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Mullette also leaves a daughter-in-law, Rosalyn; two sons-in-law, William Kelton and Paul Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lori E. Mullette; two sisters, Ingrid Nesbitt and Svea Brown; and two brothers, Yngve and Einar Oleson. Mrs. Mullette was a true prayer warrior for Community Bible Church of Williamstown and also for her many friends. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
