Edward L. Guidi, 67

GREAT BARRINGTON - Edward L. Guidi, 67, of 140 East St., died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2007, in South Egremont. Born in Great Barrington on July 3, 1940, son of Harold and Marion Curtiss Guidi, he attended schools in Egremont and was a 1959 graduate of Mount Everett Regional School. He served in the Navy during peacetime. Mr. Guidi was a cook at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge from 1989 until his retirement in 2004. He also had been a cook at the former Cricket Restaurant in Great Barrington from 1972 to 1989 and, from 1968 to 1970, was a third hand at the former Rising Paper Mill. He was a Cub Scout master for Sheffield Troop 23 and a Little League coach for the Egremont Indians. He leaves his former wives, Darlene Zele Curtiss and Karen Audino, both of South Egremont; two sons, Mark E. Guidi of South Egremont and Ryan Curtiss Guidi of Oakland, Calif.; a stepson, Michael Kellogg of South Egremont; a daughter, Nicole Brown of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Robert C. Guidi of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Thomas B. Guidi of Great Barrington, and two grandchildren, Zachary and Amber Brown. FUNERAL NOTICE - A celebration of the life of Edward Guidi will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, from 1 to 3 at Birches-Roy Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy in his memory be made to the Egremont Fire Department in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
