Stella M. Zatorski

Stella M. Zatorski, 87, of 20 Manners Ave., died Tuesday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Sept. 26, 1920, daughter of Stanislaus and Catherine Boruta Zoltek, she attended local schools. Mrs. Zatorski was a Women's Army Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre from 1943 until her honorable discharge in 1945. She was primarily a homemaker. At one time, she was employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway Mill, the former Signet, General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, and the former Hunter Outdoor Products in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church. She enjoyed cooking, her dog and cat, reading, gardening, trips to Las Vegas and scratch tickets. Her husband, Theodore W. Zatorski, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1947, died Nov. 13. She leaves a son, Theodore S. Zatorski of Adams; a daughter, Nancy C. Carlson of Adams; a sister, Helen Clark of Pittsfield; a foster brother, Rudy Barlik of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held today at 9 a.m. at PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours were yesterday. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. Mrs. Zatorski also leaves several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Jagiello and Josephine Czubryt, and a foster brother, Stanley Gancarz.
