Judith Emma Bailey

Judith Emma Bailey, 63, of 1021 River Road died Wednesday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 22, 1944, daughter of Floyd and Margaret Eldridge Kemp, she attended Wahconah Regional High School. She spent much of her life in the Hinsdale/Worthington area and moved to Clarksburg in the early 1980s. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Bailey was employed by Frazelle's Laundry in Hinsdale before moving to Clarksburg and at times also assisted her husband, the late John Bailey, with his work as a logger. She enjoyed gardening and canning and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed seeing the World Series trophy in 2004 when it came to Berkshire County following the team's win. Her husband, whom she married Feb. 16, 1966, died in February 2003. FUNERAL NOTICE -- As per Judith Emma Bailey's wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. She died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007. Following cremation, burial will be held in Maple Street Cemetery in Hinsdale at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society. BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA, 01226, is in charge of arrangements. Judy leaves two aunts, Judy Huntoon of Hinsdale and Gail Loehr of Pittsfield; an uncle, William Eldridge of Pittsfield; several cousins; her brother-in-law, Dave Bailey; her sister-in-law, Gail Bailey of Clarksburg; and close friends who cared for her a great deal, Jane Cook and Linda Cook-Gravel, Libby Vallieres and Donald Blay.She also leaves a special puppy who brought such joy to her life, Moses. She was predeceased by two brothers, James Kemp and the other at birth.
