Dawn L. Palmer

Dawn L. Palmer, 66, of Park Street died Monday at home. Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 19, 1941, daughter of Charles and Myrtle DeForest Palmer, she attended local schools. Ms. Palmer was employed as a cook at the former Howard Johnson's Restaurant on the Massachusetts Turnpike at Lee. She also worked at Oak ‘n Spruce for a short time and at the former Donut Shop, now Jill's Kitchen, and was a private caregiver for the Wilde family of Highlawn Farm for many years. She enjoyed restoring antiques. Her husband, Edward Viner, died Jan. 19, 1989. She leaves a brother, Raymond Palmer of Lee. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Dawn Palmer, who died Monday, Dec. 25, 2007, will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee by the Rev. Doug Mann, pastor of Berkshire Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to the Lee Volunteer Ambulance Squad or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Joan and Barbara Palmer; four nephews, Ray, Kevin, Jeff and Scott Palmer; a niece, Lori Palmer; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, W. DeForest Palmer.
