Norma M. Cellana, 92

ADAMS, Mass. — Norma Mary Cellana, 92, of 1 Berkshire Square and a former longtime resident of North Adams, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams, on Aug. 29, 1915, daughter of the late Vito and Laurena Cellana, she attended local schools, including Drury High School. Her father died when she was very young and she assisted in raising her siblings. Miss Cellana was employed by the former Arnold Print Works in Adams for 30 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams and was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 704. Ms. Cellana leaves a sister, Gloria Gajda of Glastonbury, Conn.; a nephew, Carl Cellana of Falmouth; a niece, Karen Cunningham of Marlborough, Conn.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Bianca "Blanche" Cellana and a brother, Aldo "Chilli" Cellana. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Cellana will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
