Adams - Rhoda E. Herrmann, 83, of Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, R.I., formerly of 59 Quality St., died Jan. 4 at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, where she had resided since 2004. Born in North Adams on Aug. 5, 1924, daughter of Daniel and Florrie Whittle Rock, she lived in Adams and attended local schools. She moved to Lynnfield in 1982 and to Providence, R.I. in 2002. Mrs. Herrmann was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lynnfield and a former member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. Her husband, Francis C. Herrmann, whom she married Aug. 5, 1944, died in December 2002. She leaves a daughter, Nancy J. Pulling of Danvers; a son, Edward F. Herrmann of Duxbury; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Rhoda E. Herrmann, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, will be held in the spring at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. A private burial of her cremated remains will be held in Bellevue Cemetery.
