Ella F. Nary

North Adams - Ella F. Nary, 94, of 125 Phelps Ave., died Wednesday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on Nov. 20, 1913, daughter of Joseph and Exilia Bergeron St. Cyr, she attended local schools, including the former Notre Dame Parochial School. Mrs. Nary was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. Her husband, John J. Nary, whom she married in 1932, died in December 1962. Mrs. Nary leaves two daughters, Claire Nary Putman of Williamstown and Shirley A. Nary of Leeds, Ala.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ella F. Nary, who died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams,. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry or to the Sweet Brook Care Center Activities Fund through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Nary also leaves two sons-in-law, Roger Putman and Arthur Pieplow; six grandchildren; Michael, John and Peter Noetzel, Daniel Cutler, David Cutler and his wife, Sandra, and Deborah Cutler Williams and her husband, Darrel; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Connor Cutler; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Moses, George, Delphis and Aime St. Cyr; and four sisters, Celia St. Cyr, Edna Cote, Viola Burdick and Aurore Morris.
