Francis E. Caprari, 84

NORTH ADAMS - Francis Eugene Caprari, 84, of 150 Ashland St., a former longtime resident of 339 Beaver St., died early Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2008, at Williamstown Commons. Born in North Adams on Dec. 11, 1923, son of James V. and Barbara Anne Huttle Caprari, he attended local schools, including Drury High School and the former Houghton School. An Army veteran of World War II, he served from 1943 to 1946. Mr. Caprari was first employed by the former Popp's Bakery and later worked at the former Strong-Hewat Woolen Mill in Clarksburg for 23 years. He then worked for the former Arnold Print Works in Adams for 17 years, retiring in 1984. He later worked part time at Meehan & Co. in Clarksburg for five years. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Fratellanza Society. Survivors include cousins Marianne Kenney of North Adams, Joseph Huttle of Adams, Theodore Huttle of Clarksburg and Shirley Lesoken of Pennsylvania. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 3 to 5. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis' Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
