GREAT BARRINGTON - Paul Gardener Lopez, 64, of Baldwinville, a native of Great Barrington, died in Baldwinville on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Born on June 14, 1943, the son of Paul and Mary Preston Lopez he attended the Avalon School in Monterey as a child, and then the Templeton Development Center in Baldwinville, where he stayed for the remainder of his life. An avid Red Sox fan, Mr. Lopez also enjoyed music and bicycling. He worked in the farming industry and was especially known for his gardening talents. He leaves his brother, Frederick L. Lopez and his wife, Kathy, of Wethersfield, Conn.; his sister, Marylee Lopez of Pittsfield; a nephew, Michael Lopez, and a niece, Kristina Lopez Walling, and two grandnephews. He also leaves his friends and caregivers at Templeton. The Lopez family is most grateful for the love and care that was given to Paul by the staff there.
