WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Daniel W. House Jr., 60, of 20 Red Rock Road, died suddenly at home on Saturday, May 3, 2008.
Born in Albany, N.Y., on Aug. 21, 1947, son of Daniel W. House Sr. and Lenore Holleran House, he was a 1965 graduate of Bethlehem (N.Y.) High School. He received an associate's degree from Schenectady (N.Y.) Community College and his bachelor of science degree in project management from the online Almeda University.
Mr. House served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a senior project manager for Bast Hatfield for 15 years.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and his pets Smokey, Ollie and Scruffy.
He and his wife,the former Alane Hojnicki, were married on May 26, 1973, in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Schenectady.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Brian House of Lexington; a daughter, Brenna House of Lexington; a brother Robert House and his wife, Lisa, of Albany, N.Y.; a sister, Linda Watt and her fiance, Dennis Maxwell, of Delmar, N.Y., and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Daniel W. House Jr. will be held on Wednesday, May 7, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 from St. Patrick's Church, by the Rev. C.J. Waitekus, pastor. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, N.Y.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Patrick's Renovation Fund in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
