Mary T. Biasin, 77

GREAT BARRINGTON — Mary T. Biasin, 77, of 15 Cottage St. died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Fairview Hospital. Born in Great Barrington on March 3, 1931, daughter of Michael and Kathyrn Kot, she attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School. A communicant of St. Peter's Church, she enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching the New York Yankees and, most of all, she had great pride in and enjoyment of her loving family. She leaves her husband, Victor Biasin, whom she married on Aug. 22 1953; two sons, Victor Biasin Jr. and his wife, Alison, of Pittsford, Vt., and William and his wife, Wendy, of Great Barrington; a daughter, Anne Marie Holian and her husband, Patrick, of Lee; three sisters, Theresa Macchi, Adella Lynch and Sophie Wetmore, all of Great Barrington; two brothers, John Kot of Great Barrington and Amelian Kot of California; four grandchildren, Kristina Biasin of Pittsfield, Victor Biasin III of Sheffield and Emily Holian and Nicholas Holian, both of Lee; three great-grandchildren Brittany, Alyssa Jakacy and Courtney Perkins, and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary T. Biasin will be celebrated on Monday, July 28, at 10 from St. Peter's Church by the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, from 1 to 4 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mrs. Biasin's memory be made to Hospice Services of Western Massachusetts in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
