Lillian P. O'Brien, 88
NORTH ADAMS — Lillian P. Trahan O'Brien, 88, of 22 Mohawk Forest Blvd. died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008,
at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 27, 1920, daughter of Francis Trahan and Florinda Roy Trahan Rougeau, she attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School.
Mrs. O'Brien was employed at former Apothecary Hall, Treet Cleaners and Richard Cut Rate. For most of her life, she was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother.
She had been a communicant and active volunteer at the former Notre Dame Church.
Her husband, William O'Brien, died in January 1969.
She leaves two daughters, Barbara Reardon, who was her caregiver, and her husband, Robert, of North Adams and Carol Cohen and her husband, Donald, of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Diane O'Brien of North Adams; six grandchildren, Michelle DeRose, also a caregiver, and her husband, Larry, Scott Lizotte and his partner, John Lombard, Susan Harmon and her husband, Scott, Leslie Grant and her husband, Mark, Lisa Rennell and her husband, Arron, and Kristie Henderson and her husband, Justin; eight great-grandchildren, Alisa, Scott Jr., Nicholas, Dalton, Alex, Allyson, Molli Beth and Ashleigh; two great-great-grandchildren, Brianna and Elijah, and a cousin James Dynes.
She was predeceased by her son, William O'Brien, and a brother, Francis Trahan.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Monday, Oct. 6, at 10:15 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will take place at a later date.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 6 to 8. Memorial donations are suggested for Alzheimer's Association of Western Massachusetts through the funeral home.
