Donald F. Davis, 65
NEW MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — Donald F. Davis, 65, of Mill River-Southfield Road died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at home.
Born in Great Barrington on Oct. 12, 1943, son of Harold and Florence Bownes Davis, he lived in New Marlborough all his life and attended schools there.
Mr. Davis was employed by Pfizer Co. for many years. An experienced handyman, he excelled in carpentry and in repairing small engines.
He enjoyed car shows and loved stock car racing at Lebanon (N.Y.) Valley Speedway. He was always there to help a friend in need.
He leaves his longtime girlfriend, Teresa Kirchner; a son, Brian Davis of Great Barrington; his former wife, Beverly Woodin, and stepdaughter Anne Marie Faison; two brothers, Val Davis of Great Barrington and Harold Davis, and five grandchildren, Marisa and Sara Davis and Katherine, Jonathan and Michael Faison
FUNERAL NOTICE — A service celebrating the life of Mr. Davis will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.
