Gloria J. Clairmont, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Gloria J. Clairmont, 79, of 1 Comanche Drive died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on Jan. 5, 1930, daughter of Edwin and Ella Stoeber Coon, she attended schools in Hoosick Falls and moved to North Adams in 1952.
Mrs. Clairmont was a devoted homemaker and mother and loved spending time with her family.
Her former husband, Edward S. Clairmont Sr., died in 2004.
She leaves four daughters, Susan Sherman and Barbara Clairmont, both of North Adams, Carol Clairmont of North Carolina and Bonnie Protz of Connecticut; three sons, Edward Clairmont of Adams, Thomas Clairmont of North Adams and Robert Clairmont of Colorado; two sisters, Marjorie Amidon of New York and Ellen Smith of Arizona; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers Edwin, Kenneth and Carlton Coon and her sisters Doris Samio and Eleanor Coon, who died at age 3.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Friday afternoon, March 13, at 1 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home
