William A. Lesage, 78

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - William Arthur Lesage, 78, of The Villages, Lady Lake, Fla., a native of North Adams, died March 5, 2009, in Florida. Born July 20, 1930, son of Alfred J. and Diana Martell LeSage, he attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School in 1948. He also graduated from the former St. Joseph's Business College, now Southern Vermont College, in Bennington, Vt., in 1957. He was an Air Force veteran, serving four years. Mr. Lesage joined Hoosac Savings Bank in 1957 and retired as senior vice president and mortgage officer in 1995. He enjoyed golf. He leaves two daughters, Karen Kirwan and her husband, John, of Ashland and Kelly Lesage of Worcester; two sisters, Doris Cote and Claire Trombley, both of North Adams; a brother, George LeSage of North Adams, four grandchildren, Patrick and Britney Kirwan of Ashland and Erika and Dianna Lesage of Worcester, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Irene Byers and Helen Bedard. FUNERAL NOTICE - A memorial service for William Lesage will be held Wednesday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
