Eva Graf, 76
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Eva Graf, 76, of East Street died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at home, surrounded by family.
She was born in Tooele, Utah, on July 7, 1932.
Mrs. Graf was an active member of Calvary Christian Chapel and founding board member of Hearts of the Father Outreach. She was well known as a gifted counselor, marvelous cook, talented massage therapist and creative dramatist. She was appreciated for her sensitive spiritual insight and her selfless service to family and friends. She loved singing and playing games with all her children and numerous grandchildren.
She and her husband, Eugene J. Graf Jr., were married in July 1973.
Besides her husband, she leaves her children Vanet Jensen, David Welchman, Eva Dean Welchman, Douglas Welchman, Paula Welchman, Denise Graf, Lonnie Welchman, Noni MacLeay, Jon Graf, Matthew Graf and their families; her siblings, Peter Black, Beverly Black, Richard Black, Karen Bushman, George Black, Ann Ransom and their families. She had 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughters Lisa Paul and Sarah Welchman and her first husband, Arnell H. Welchman.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Graf will be held on Friday, March 27, at 11 a.m. from Calvary Christian Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, from 4 to 7:30 at Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.
