Jon C. Blasi, 49
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jon Christopher Blasi, 49, of 74 Liberty St. died peacefully Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at home.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 13, 1960, son of Wanda Simon Blasi and the late Joseph Blasi, he attended North Adams schools and graduated from McCann Technical School in 1978.
Mr. Blasi was last employed by Morrison Berkshire as a machinist. Before that, he worked at the former Beloit-Jones in Pittsfield for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and enjoyed horse racing.
Besides his mother, of North Adams, he leaves a daughter, Amber Blasi of North Adams;
five sisters, Ann Marie Blasi, Katherine Blasi, Linda Blasi DiLego and Brenda L. Blasi, all of North Adams, and Jo-Ann Caron of Shaftsbury, Vt.; two grandchildren, Lilly Blasi and Ivy Blasi, and tree nephews, Brett Caron, Jake DiLego and Jesse DiLego,
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Blasi will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, Marshal Street, will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
