Rev. Lois D. Wilson, 79
ADAMS, Mass. — The Rev. Lois Dolores Wilson, 79, of 59 Howland Ave. died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at home.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 20, 1930, daughter of Leslie Tenney and the Rev. Ethel Lombard Tenney, she attended Adams schools, including the former Adams High School.
Primarily a homemaker, devoted wife and mother, the Rev. Wilson was a minister at Jesus Saves Tabernacle in North Adams.
She also was a member of the Harbinger Singers, who traveled extensively performing in many area churches. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
She and her husband, the Rev. Floyd R. Wilson, were married on June 2, 1950.
Besides her husband, she three daughters, Lois Gronblom of Dover, N.H., Lyn Wilson of Adams and Robin Mulvaney of Schenectady, N.Y.; three sons, Robert Wilson of Lancaster, N.H., James lson of Eden, Vt., and Lawrence Wilson of Adams; a sister, Evelyn Bellows of Roy, Wash.; a brother, Leslie Tenney of Derby, Conn.; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A son, William Wilson, died Jan. 21, 1991, and another brother, Lawrence Tenney, in 1998.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for the Rev. Wilson will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. from Jesus Saves Tabernacle in North Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
