Ellen E. Hubley, 85
MONROE BRIDGE, Mass. — Ellen Ermina Hubley, 85, of 301 Countryside Road, Greenfield, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
Born in Monroe Bridge on Aug. 12, 1924, daughter of Arthur and Rose Franceschetti Passardi, she attended schools in Monroe Bridge and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams in 1942.
Mrs. Hubley worked at the former Deerfield Glassine Paper Co. in Monroe Bridge for 30 years until her retirement in 1972. She moved to Augusta, Ga., and lived there until returning to Greenfield in 2000.
She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She and her husband, Roy W. Hubley, were married on Nov. 27, 1947, in Readsboro, Vt.
Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Gloria Marchegiani of Greenfield; a brother, Arthur Passardi of Readsboro, and nieces and nephews
Her brother Garfield Passardi is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Hubley will be celebrated Tuesday, May 4, at 11 from St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro, Vt. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery in Readsboro.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
