Winthrop R. Burdick, 69
FLORIDA, Mass. — Winthrop Roger Burdick, 69, of 41 A Central Shaft Road died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in North Adams on April 29, 1941, son of Frank and Pauline Moody Burdick, he attended school in Florida and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams.
Mr. Burdick was employed for 22 years as a machinist at U.S. Tsubaki in Bennington, Vt., retiring in 1999. He also had been employed for 10 years by the former Anken Chemical Co. in Williamstown.
He was a member of Florida Baptist Church.
He and his wife, the former Mary Charron, were married Aug. 31, 1963, in Clarksburg.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Evelyn Bascom and her husband, Gregory, of Florida, Christine Costine and her husband, Robert B. of Stamford, Vt., and Kimberly Del Ratez and her husband, James Jr., of North Adams; a son, Andrew Burdick and his wife, Beth, of Adams, and seven grandchildren, Sara, Nate, Ashley, Abigail, Kelly, Kevin and Robert.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Burdick will take place Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 at Florida Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
