Mark A. Shupe, 53

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Mark Anthony Shupe, 53, of 45 Spring St., died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at his home. He was born in Seattle on Sept. 27, 1957, son of Richard S. Shupe and the late Nellie Tobin Shupe. He attended schools in Seattle and graduated from West Seattle High School. He came to North Adams in 2002. Mr. Shupe was last employed at Air-Flow Inc. in Seattle. He enjoyed watching baseball games at Joe Wolfe Field and was an honorary member of the Gancarz Construction men's softball team. He was one-quarter Tlingit Indian and enjoyed attending pow-wows. He is survived by his father, Richard S. Shupe of North Adams; four brothers, Richard A. Shupe, Thomas O. Shupe and Randolph G. Palmatier, all of Seattle, and Laurence W. Shupe of Emmett, Idaho, and nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Shupe will be held Monday, June 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
