Barbara A. Corsi, 81
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Ann Corsi, 81, of 611 State Road died Friday, July 15, 2011, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 20, 1929, daughter of Wilson and Delia Vallue Gay, she attended the former Freeman School and graduated from Drury High School in 1947.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Corsi worked at the former Mohawk Gift Shop and as a dental assistant to Dr. William Horn. She also provided home care for the late Dr. Fritz Redl.
She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and a former member of the St. Ann Sodality at Holy Family Church.
Her husband, Raymond James Corsi, whom she married March 3, 1962, died on May 15, 2000.
She leaves a son, Stephen R. West and his wife, Emily, of Sterling; three daughters, Linda M. West and Laurie Robertson and her husband, Robert Robertson IV, all of Pittsfield, and Christine Becker and her husband, Eric, of Bennington, Vt.; three stepdaughters, Bonnie Lipa and her husband, John, of North Adams, Kathleen Denault and her husband, Edward, of Clarksburg and Heather Lemoine and her husband, Michael, of Adams; a sister, Lois Roy of Adams; four grandchildren, Randall West and his wife, Patrice, of Leominster, Joel Denault of North Adams, Darcie Martin and her husband, Scott, of Melrose and Michael Becker of Bennington; three great-grandchildren, Olivia and Eva West and Kylie Martin, and nieces and nephews.
Another sister, Dorothy Belanger, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Corsi will be celebrated Saturday, July 23, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
