Agnes Wood, 84
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Agnes Wood, 84, formerly of Williamstown, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Watson House in North Bennington, Vt.
Born in Buskirk, N.Y., on Oct. 26, 1926, daughter of James and Catherine James Harrington, she attended schools in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. She had also resided in Plymouth and, most recently, in Winter Haven, Fla.
Mrs. Wood assisted her late husband, Edward Clifford Wood, in the operation of the former J.B. Wood Plumbing & Heating in Williamstown as the office manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She leaves a sister, Ella Caron of Bennington, Vt.; a sister-in-law, Martha Wood Finnegan and her husband, Thomas, of Plymouth, and their two children, Dana and Courtney Finnegan, and many other nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 62 years died on Jan. 26, 2009. She also was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Roscoe and Howard Harrington, and four sisters, Caroline Harrington, Helen Knapp, Elizabeth Lohnes and Julia Mears.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Wood will be Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
