Doris A. Demo, 90
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Doris Alice Demo, 90, of 59 Chestnut St. died Monday, Nov. 7 , 2011, at home under the loving care of her family, hospice and At Home TLC.
Born in North Adams on June 23, 1921, the daughter of Martin and Elvira Baroni Demo, she attended the former Johnson School and was later educated in Europe. She resided in the city most of her life.
Miss Demo was employed for many years as a waitress at the former Three Chefs Taconic Restaurant in Williamstown, where diners would often ask for her by name.
She loved to travel and played a big part in raising her two grandnephews. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish. She will be sadly missed and always in our hearts.
Survivors include a brother, Elmo Demo and his wife, Filomena, of North Adams; her nephew, Sergio Demo and his wife, Gail, and her loving grandnephews Wyatt and Nathan Demo, all of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Miss Demo will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church.
Calling hours will Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home.
