Phyllis J. Olson, 92
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Phyllis Jane Olson, 92, of St. Joseph's Court, 85 Eagle St., died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at the North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on March 16, 1919, a daughter of William and Victoria Robarge Bunting, she attended Drury High School.
and during WW II she was employed at the Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
Mrs. Olson was employed as a seamstress at the former Roberts Co. on Main Street. During World War II, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co.
A devoted Catholic, she a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
Her husband, Harold Leonard Olson, whom she married Sept. 21, 1940, died Dec. 17, 1994.
She leaves three sons, Leonard H. Olson of Kittery, Maine, Gary A. Olson of North Adams and Robert W. Olson of Oldsmar, Fla.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two Great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, June Lamoureaux, Roma Koch and Helen Bryce.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Olson will take place Friday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Springfield through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
