My deepest sympathy to you. Dieter was an extraordinary man with a beatiful heart and sense of humour that could bring a smile to your face no matter what you were experiencing. I am thankful to have known such a great man for the joy he offered to this world. Take comfort that you carry this loving spirit in you for always. Peace to you in your hard times.

I'm so sorry for Dieter's passing. I'm so sorry for the entire family, but also sorry for our community. As some of the first people my late partner and I met when we moved to North Adams over 10 years ago, Dieter and Mary were perfect examples of the energy and enthusiasm that drew us here in the first place. I never saw Dieter without a sh*t eating grin on his face, or his wife by his side, and he brightened my day every single time I'd run into him. North Adams has lost one of its biggest fans/cheerleaders and someone who injected a lot of life wherever he went. I'm going to miss him a great deal and am sorry I didn't take the opportunity to spend more time getting to know him better!

Jen, Dave, and Dan.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family. I know how much you'll miss his presence, but find comfort that he'll be watching over all of you now.
