Gloria C. Peltier, 86

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Gloria Claire Peltier, 86, of 213 White Oaks Road died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. Born Underwood in Rutland, Vt., on April 30, 1925, she was raised by her grandparents George and Dorothy Underwood. Mrs. Peltier was a waitress for several area restaurants including the former Florini's, Captain's Cabin and Captain's Table. She also was employed at Williams College for several years. She attended First Baptist Church. Her husband, George Edward Peltier, died in 1980. She leaves five sons, twins Douglas Peltier and Dennis Peltier and his wife, Bobbi Jean, all of Pittsfield, Albert Peltier of California, George Peltier Jr. of North Adams and Christopher Peltier and his wife, Laurel, of Amherst; 21 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ann Frenier, in 2004 and her son, James Peltier, who were twins. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services Mrs. Peltier will take place Friday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will Thursday, Jan. 26, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for Alzheimer's Association or First Baptist Church of Williamstown through the funeral home.
