Bertha M. Arigoni, 80
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Bertha M. Arigoni, 80, of 24 Mohawk Forest Blvd. died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 9, 1931, a daughter of Solomon and Rosa LaBonte Richard, she attended schools in North Adams, including the former Notre Dame School.
Mrs. Arigoni was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. and former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. for many years.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church and later of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
Her husband, Matthew Arigoni, whom she married Aug. 9, 1952, died June 22, 2004.
She leaves a sister, Jeannette Lussier of Clarksburg; a brother, Harvey Richard of North Adams, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Marguerite Corbiere and Theresa Warthington and brothers Hermas "Pete" Richard and Jean "Butch" Richard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mrs. Arigoni will take place in the springtime at the family plot in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
