June Lapham, 72

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — June Lapham, 72, of 134 Hemlock Lane died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. Born in North Adams on June 14, 1940, a daughter of McKendree and Ruth Jepson Whitney, she attended schools in Stamford, Vt., and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams in 1958. She was a 1962 graduate of Cooley Dickinson School of Nursing in Northampton. Mrs. Lapham was last employed for 21 years as an operating room nurse at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was a member of Stamford Community Church. Her husband, John H. Lapham, died in 2003. She leaves a daughter, Heather McKendree Whitney and her fiance, Blaine Munro, of Park Ridge, N.J.; a son, Scott D. Anderson and his wife, E.R., of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Marilyn R. Pease of Tavares, Fla.; a brother, James Whitney and his wife, Mary Ann, of Stowe, Vt., and her best friend and companion, Ken Cunniff of Williamstown. She was predeceased by her brother David Whitney. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Lapham will take place Thursday, June 28, at 10 from Stamford Community Church. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the Stamford Community Church through the funeral home.
